Westmont provides a frequent shuttle service to make the city accessible to its students living on campus. The shuttle makes several stops along Downtown State Street, two beaches, and the Coast Village marketplace, with an extended route on weekends. Check out the shuttle schedule here.
During your time at Westmont you will have access to an on-campus health clinic at which a team consisting of physician assistants, a nurse practitioner, medical office coordinator and a physician who are available to take care of your health care needs. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), in partnership with the Health Center, provides free and confidential counseling for anyone seeking this service. Each of the counselors are licensed clinicians (or supervised by a licensed in-house provider) and dedicated to walking with our students facing an array of concerns, including anxiety, depression, eating concerns, relationship problems, homesickness, addictive behaviors, or anything else that may be going on.
Westmont’s very own student run and operated coffee shop, Ritchie's Place, can be accessed on lower campus as a part of the Global Leadership Center. This space provides a welcoming, communal atmosphere for students to meet, relax, and share a beverage with peers or staff members. See the hours for Ritchie's Place here.
The Westmont Dining Commons, in partnership with Sodexo Catering provides students a variety of healthy, hot meals in a communal setting perfect for meeting with friends, dining with professors, or getting to know students of every year. The Dining Commons provide many options including vegetarian, gluten free, and accommodates many allergies and food preferences. See the hours for the Dining Commons here.
Every Residence Hall on campus is completed with its own common space and at least one fully stocked kitchen. These spaces, depending on the dorm, may include a television entertainment system, pool or ping pong tables, and a snack store.
The library strives to accommodate students to the best of its ability featuring a tea and coffee station, printers and computers for use, and a variety of arm chairs, tables, and private desks for the best possible studying experience for every individual. There are also several low speed treadmills available for use with book stands for active studying.
Each Residence Hall is equipped with easily accessible laundry facilities including multiple washers and dryers.
Students get to participate in weekly events and campus activities featuring several dances a year, guest lecturers, films, barbeques, and many club sponsored events open to the campus. Students can find out more about these events through the promotional hand outs, emails, and posters that are distributing leading up to these events.

The Public Safety Department is located in the office area of the Physical Plant Department building. Westmont posts warnings of crimes committed that may impact the safety of staff and students.
