Chryss Yost is the 2013-2015 Poet Laureate of Santa Barbara. Chryss has been director of the Santa Barbara Poetry Series, now teaches poetry to gifted teens at the Santa Barbara Music & Arts Conservatory, and currently hosts Writer’s Café on  KCSB radio.

Since publishing her first poems in a national journal in 1997, she has published two fine-press chapbooks, Escaping from Autopia and La Jolla Boys, and has co-edited two major  poetry anthologies, California Poetry: From the Gold Rush to the Present and Poetry Daily: A Year of Poems from the World’s Most Popular Poetry Website. Her poems have been set to music and she is a frequent collaborator with local  artists and galleries.
