Interesting Fact: President Beebe lived in Ocean View as a consortium student, and loved it.

Claim to Fame: Ocean View has won Spring Sing Sweepstakes in 1981, and in 2014.

Vision Statement for 2016-2017: "Be Love"

General Description: Ocean View (OV) is a 22-unit apartment complex for seniors, located approximatlety three miles from campus and two miles away from the beach. Ocean View allows residents the independence of living off campus, where they can cook their own meals and entertain friends in a relaxed environment. Ocean View is designed to launch students forward post Westmont by stewarding their independence and giving them more responsibility with community living.

Residents enjoy Ocean View's open courtyard for picnics, built-in gas barbeque for hosting, and the occasional game of basketball in the parking lot. Additionally, Students cruise the beach or the farmers markets on their bikes, and adventure downtown to attend local Santa Barbara festevities. The apartments are perfectly located, so that students can intentionally connect with the Santa Barbara Community.

Additional Facility Information: Twelve apartments have capacity for three people; ten apartments have capacity for four. The apartments are furnished and include a gas range and full-sized refrigerator. Students provide dishes, utensils, and cookware. Utilities (gas, water, trash, electricity, internet, and DirecTV) are included. Westmont recommends living on campus before moving to Ocean View.
