Transfer Spotlight Julia Swanson

Julia transferred to Westmont because she wanted to develop in all areas of her life. She did well academically at her previous college but found few opportunities for personal growth.

At Westmont, she quickly developed close friendships, joined a Capax Dei Bible study and the dance team, and benefitted from an academic environment that opens doors for her. A kinesiology major, Julia has interned as a student-athlete trainer, found a job as a personal trainer at a local physical therapy studio, and conducted research involving the physiology of rock climbers. “I’ve found a lot more opportunity at Westmont because my professors treat me like a peer,” she says.
