Transfer Spotlight Kristina Kelm

Kristina began her college career playing soccer at a large public university. She chose a big school after attending a small, private high school. But she soon realized she wanted an intimate college setting, so she began searching for a new school. She stumbled upon Westmont, toured the campus and practiced with the college’s track team. Kristina felt at home.

Since transferring, Kristina she has received the personalized academic help she desired. “It’s easier to get one-on-one time with your professor,” she says. “They can help you.” The intimate atmosphere has also benefited her socially. “If you want to get to know someone, you go up and talk to them. It’s very open here.”
