Westmont awarded more than $21 million in financial assistance this year, making our high-quality education accessible to students and families from a wide range of economic backgrounds. In fall 2013, students with demonstrated need received an average award of $28,681.

Westmont Consistently Ranks in the Top 100 Liberal Arts Colleges

For the sixth straight year, U.S. News & World Report ranked Westmont among the 100 best liberal arts colleges in the nation and the top 10 in California.

The New York Times ranked Westmont 4th in their Brookings-Common Sense Ranking, which identifies the highest “value added” colleges regardless of major.

Business Insider named Westmont one of the 50 Most Underrated Colleges in America, schools whose graduates make much higher salaries than their U.S. News rankings would suggest.

Princeton Review recognizes Westmont among Colleges That Pay You Back: The 200 Best-Value Colleges, “the best overall bargains based on cost and financial aid among the most academically outstanding colleges in the nation.” Princeton Review also ranks Westmont among the Best Colleges in the West. They include only 25 percent of U.S. four-year colleges in four regions. Princeton notes Westmont’s excellent academic programs and positive reports by students about their campus experiences.

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance listed Westmont as No. 83 in 2014 and features colleges that provide high-quality academics at a reasonable cost. Westmont scored well in several attributes that parents and students seek: small class sizes, a good freshman-retention rate and a high four-year graduation rate.

In 2014, the Washington Post listed Westmont as No. 15 in the nation for colleges and universities with the greatest salary growth between average starting and average mid¬-career salaries. A Forbes magazine story identified Westmont as No. 23 among the national liberal arts colleges whose graduates earn the highest salaries.

Forbes Magazine ranked Westmont No. 74 among colleges and universities in its survey, Grateful Grads: Top Return-on-Investment. Westmont is one of three Christian colleges nationally and nine schools in California in the top 100. The ranking measures the amount of private gifts given to four-year colleges divided by the number of full-time students.

Discover the Difference Between International Education and Global Learning

We’ve developed a unique cycle of global learning for our own programs to help you make the most of your cross-cultural experiences. You’ll spend a semester studying the region before you leave. While you’re there, Westmont professors will guide your learning. When you return, a re-entry seminar will help you embrace, apply and share your insights.

Westmont prepares you to be a global citizen equipped to make an impact in the world. About 70 percent of our students spend a semester off campus or overseas, choosing from more than 65 programs.
