Parents & Families New Warriors Family Weekend
November 4-5, 2022
We welcome back parents of new students to see how your son or daughter is experiencing collegiate life at Westmont. Get a taste of college life, invite your student to show the family around campus, and perhaps treat your student to a meal off campus!
Registration coming soon. Schedule is subject to change. All parent sessions and events are included in your registration fee.
New Warriors Family Weekend Schedule
FRIDAY, November 4
Attend a Class
8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Review the list of select classes by professors welcoming visitors. Be prepared to participate -- and expect challenging content!
Check-In
9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: President's Patio. After 2, check-in at the Parent Relations office, Kerrwood, Room 206
Check in on the President’s Patio at Kerrwood Hall, pick up your name tag and a cup of coffee or tea as you begin your day. Rain plan: Inside Kerrwood Hall, first floor.
Chapel
10:30 - 11:20 a.m.
Academic Resources and Strategies for Student Success
Time & Location: TBA
Lunch Available at the Dining Commons (DC)
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Take your student out for lunch or pick it up in the DC. Parents and families are kindly requested to wear masks inside and use our outdoor dining locations. ($11 per adult and $7.50 per child, ages 2-10, children under 2 are free).
Lunch and Lecture with Mosher Center for Moral and Ethical Leadership
Registration coming soon.
Limited seating. Registration is separate from Warrior Weekend. At this lunch, sponsored by the Mosher Center for Moral and Ethical Leadership, Westmont hosts thought leaders on a range of engaging topics .
Reception and Greeting from the President
4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Kerrwood Lawn
Westmont President Gayle D. Beebe warmly welcomes you, your student and family to a short reception. Enjoy refreshments and hear a greeting from Westmont's president.
Dinner Available at the Dining Commons
5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Enjoy dinner downtown with your student, or pick up dinner at the Dining Commons.
SATURDAY, November 5
Check-In
8:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Location: Page Hall
If you have not already checked in, get your name tag and enjoy a light breakfast and coffee/tea before heading inside for two helpful presentations.

Visit the Westmont Bookstore

Location: Bookstore behind Kerrwood Hall.
Visit the bookstore one last time for great Westmont clothing, gifts, and books by faculty and alumni.

Pick up lunch in the DC with your student or take your student out to one of many great restaurants in the area!
Explore Santa Barbara!
The day is for you to enjoy with your son or daughter. There are a number of fun, Free Things to Do in the Santa Barbara Area.
Dinner on the Town
Enjoy dinner in town with your student. Consider taking along their roommate or new friend. This is a great time to listen and learn more about your student's college life so far. Here are some local favorites.

Attend church with your student and treat them to breakfast or lunch.

Where should I park?
Parent Relations has reserved two parking lots especially for visiting parents and families (near the library & baseball parking lots) on Friday and Saturday.
What are the bookstore hours?
You can stock up on Warrior gear during the following hours:
Friday 8:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Note, bookstore is closed during chapel, 10:30-11:20 a.m.)
Saturday 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
