Dr. Morrisset studied at UCLA, graduating summa cum laude before attending the University of Cambridge in England, where she earned her master’s degree and doctorate. Her research interests pertain to the history of Latin America and she conducts archaeological excavations on the Peruvian south coast. Sara received the Gates Cambridge Scholarship for her doctoral work and her research has been supported by numerous grants and institutes including the National Geographic Society. She was co-editor of the Archaeological Review from Cambridge journal and her current research projects focus on the study of cultural and artistic revivals in the ancient Americas.
