Art Facilities

Adams Center

The Adams Center for the Visual Arts is located in the heart of campus and boasts three floors of the most beautiful art studios around. Most classrooms feature large window-walls that open like garage doors, extending each studio into indoor/outdoor work spaces providing striking views of the ocean and surrounding hills. The roof of each level of the building is planted with grass, sedums and drought-resistant native plants, helping the building to blend into the environment.

Studio Classrooms

In addition to spacious studios for printmaking, drawing, painting, ceramics, and sculpture, and a dedicated art history classroom, the building features a well-equipped Apple graphics computer lab with Wacom Cintiq monitors at each workstation.

Ridley-Tree Museum

These classroom spaces are adjacent to the Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art which hosts numerous important exhibitions every year. The Ridley-Tree Museum of Art is also the site for our senior capstone exhibition each spring.

We value studio life and creative discovery made in community. With dedicated personal studio space for seniors, student run laboratory galleries, and outdoor patios for socializing, we hope our students will make Adams Center their home for making and building life-long friendships.
