Lead Mentor Emily Mosher

A place you call home: Palmdale, CA.

Why did you choose Westmont? I chose Westmont because I fell in love with the beautiful campus the second I stepped foot on it.

What has been an impactful book or movie in your life (besides the Bible =)? An impactful book for me has been I Am Malala. It's about a woman named Malala Yousafzai, who is an advocate for equal rights. She inspires me as an activist and woman.

If you had to design a robot to do a task, what would you want it to do? If I had to design a robot, it would be able to cook for me because I hate cooking and I'm also really bad at it.

Favorite thing about going to a liberal arts college? My favorite thing about going to a liberal arts school is that I have learned a little bit of everything in my years at Westmont. Everything intersects. In some classes I'd be learning things that went along with things I'd learn in other classes. I love that.

A favorite professor at Westmont and why: I have a lot of favorite professors at Westmont so this is hard. But one of my favorite professors at Westmont would be Dr. Yadav. I've only had Dr. Yadav once, but he's easily one of the most brilliant people I know, and he care deeply for his students. My favorite thing about him is that he challenges your perspective to expand. His curiosity for life and willingness to widen his own perspective, even from just listening to us, really inspires me.
