Bring the whole family and plan a long weekend with friends, old and new! Classes ending in 4 and 9 may organize reunion gatherings, Golden Warriors (50 year reunions) gather and connected in May 2024 at Commencement.

Friday, October 4

Let us know you've arrived! Pick up your Homecoming name tag, check the list of open classes, event schedule, class reunion updates. 

8:00 a.m. - 7:00 pm Yearbooks and Catching Up: '50s, '60s, '70s, 80's - All are welcome!
Hieronymus Lounge, Kerrwood Hall
Yearbooks from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980's will be available to peruse, and Hieronymus will be open to all alumni throughout the day. Pick a time with classmates to meet up; this is a great starting point to make plans together for the weekend.

Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art
Duncan Simcoe is a professor and Department Chair for Art at Cal Baptist University. Stop by and check out his unique work titled Black Drawings on Black Tar paper.

11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Memorial in Remembrance of the 35th Anniversary of the Potters Clay Car Accident
Potters Clay Monument is located in the Wooded area between the Dining Commons and Carroll Hall or the Old Observatory
Campus Pastor Scott Lisea 88' will be remembering Lisa Bebout, Alan Voorman, and Garth Weedman who were tragically killed on March 27, 1989 in a car accident while participating in Potters Clay in Mexico. Patty Hallock and Megan Harter were critically injured in the accident. Megan Harter has recently written a book, Hope in the Darkest Hour: A Memoir of Survival and Resilience about her experience. A limited number of seating will be provided.

Dr. Tim Loomer is the Director of Research, Planning, and Implementation and Assistant to the President for Board Relations. He will be sharing Westmont's Strategic Plan and vision for the future.

Dr. Katherine Bryant is a professor in the Political Science department and will be speaking on the Changing Geopolitical Landscape and the role of Foreign Aid. 

2:15-3:15 p.m. Dr. Steve Porter Lecture- Spiritual Formation Panel

Dr. Steve Porter is the Senior Research Fellow and Executive Director of the Martin Institute. He and his panel will be discussing the Cultural Implications of the disappearance of Moral knowledge.

Fletcher Jones Foundation Center for Engineering (Near the Tennis Courts and Physical Plant)
Come by the Fletcher Jones Foundation Center for Engineering to explore this new building and innovative program. Dr. Dan Jensen will be there to share the mission and vision of the program. 

5:00-8:00 p.m. Pickleball Tournament
Earl Warren Fairgrounds - Pickleball Courts on the outside of the hockey rink.
Sign up as an individual and play doubles around with your fellow Westmont alumni. Bring your own paddle or one can be provided for you. $40 includes dinner and prizes for winners. To sign up GO HERE. This event is capped at 32.

Tickets cost $40. Recommended for ages 12+. Seating is limited, so advance registration is required through Homecoming registration. Due to food order requirements, brunch tickets cannot be purchased on-site. A highlight of the weekend takes place at the Alumni Awards Celebration Brunch. Buy tickets HERE
