Westmont Magazine Giving in Return
While most recent college graduates worry about paying off loans and finding jobs, 79 Westmont seniors decided to give something back to their alma mater as well. They pledged to donate $10,986 to the college over a three-year period.
This effort by the Class of 1995 sets a new record for senior gifts at Westmont. Since the Class of 1993 revived this tradition by contributing $3,825 two years ago, the amount has increased each year. The Class of 1994 pledged $8,140.
Under the leadership of Zack Fox, an energetic Senior Gift Committee worked hard to beat the mark set the previous year. About 18 percent of the Class of 1995 made a pledge.
The senior gift campaign, which falls under the umbrella of The Westmont Fund, supports student scholarships.
