A Special Thank You
Your generous support of men’s and women’s soccer deserves a very special thank you. When you make a gift of $750 or $1,000, or any multiples of these amounts, you will be invited to select from the commemorative art of the Heritage Collection. The collection comprises original pieces donated to Westmont to inspire and thank donors. You may designate your gift to strengthen the soccer program and student scholarships in a variety of meaningful ways. One hundred percent of your gift goes directly to your selected designation. Prints can even be gifted to others.
View the Heritage Collection below and, when you are ready, go to the dedicated giving form. With our deep thanks, select from various pieces of artwork spanning decades of imagery from national soccer team cohorts, and incorporating timeless themes.
The Heritage Collection, 2022
The first edition of the Heritage Collection are the gifts of Westmont alumni artists and players who have donated their time and talent to create a unique collection that celebrates the game they love. The collection is designed to deepen the connection between former players, parents, students and friends of Westmont soccer who have enjoyed the program's success and atmosphere over the years.
Pieces in the Heritage Collection include traditional mediums as well as digital technology to produce museum quality giclee’ prints. Each print includes a Certificate of Authenticity as well as an Artist Statement and testimony.
2022 Contributing Artists include: David Dengerink, Dane Howard, Rob Ring and Nathan Rohlander.
“Each of these images transports me. Viewing them, I can smell the grass and even hear the tap of cleats on the locker room floor.” - Dane Howard
Honoring a Legacy
The Heritage Collection premieres at a meaningful time for the program. Dave Wolf has announced that the 2022 fall season will be his last as head coach of Westmont Men's Soccer. It will be his thirty-second season at the helm of a program that has known only four skippers in 57 years. Wolf has been coaching, mentoring and leading student athletes at Westmont since 1991, and he has accumulated an impressive record of 353-172-56 (.656). Wolf has played a central role as a men's soccer coach and—for a time—as the women’s coach, as an administrator and, more recently, as an instructor.
The Inspiration

Dane Howard (‘94), a former soccer player at Westmont, was motivated to commemorate the program that provided him with a strong foundation of character and enduring relationships. He curated pieces from artists across the country that interpret the spirit of the game. “The bond we have from playing the game together is significant. I wanted that feeling to be shared with others,” said Howard. “Regardless of the era, the position you played or your win/loss record, we all have a visual vocabulary derived from being around the game. The imagery ignites emotions,” said Howard.
Looking to the Future
Meanwhile, Westmont has begun the process of joining NCAA. Your support of the Westmont soccer program will honor Dave’s exceptional legacy and help to position Westmont players for success at the NCAA level.
“The Heritage Collection is an extraordinary gift to the college, and we’re thrilled that our players, coaches and program are honored in this way.” - Johnny Whallon, Assistant Coach
