Clubs Jestmont (Improv)
To unleash your creative potential through mastering the art and discipline of Improv comedy. Seven philosophic expectations and core values employed in the club: 1. Fostering emotional, intellectual and spiritual development through honest relationships and a humble devotion to learning. 2. Hugging this broken world back together with jokes, quips and guffaws. 3. Finding the truth in comedy. 4. Revealing the magic and power story and plot has to influence peoples emotions and internal narratives. 5. Bridging the gap between fiction and reality. 6. Submitting to great risk and adventure to free your spirit from social norms and your own inhibitions. 7. Creating a space to play in your imagination.
At least one black box show every semester for the Westmont community. In the long run, once we have sufficient grey beards, it would be awesome to preform improv and compete statewide with other collegiate improv troupes.
