The Human Anatomy Laboratory portion of the course covers the fundamental anatomy of all the systems found in the human body. The ultimate GOAL of the course is to give you a sense of awe at the human body, God's crowning creation. The labs will help familiarize yourself with the basic structures and functions of each system so that you have a basic understanding and working knowledge of each system by using rabbits and other anatomic materials.
The first part of the lab deals entirely with the osteology of the body. You will learn all the bones of the body, many of their specific bony features, and, in most instances, how to distinguish the differences between right and left of the respective bone pairs.
The remainder of the course covers the muscular, cardiovascular, nervous, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems through the study of regional anatomy.
