Armington C
Hi! My name is Esther Pruitt, the resident director of Armington Halls. When I was a student at Covenant College, the Lord was faithful to bring mentors into my life who were willing to ask me hard questions, walk with me in my faith, and encourage me with the truth that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Romans 8:1). What an honor it is to partake in this same ministry of “life on life” discipleship that shaped me— now at Westmont College!
In my graduate work at Wheaton College (IL), I was introduced to global perspectives on student development and identity formation. This eventually led to my interest in studying refugee-inclusive efforts in educational settings world-wide. After graduating from Wheaton, I spent a year working with college students in Quito, Ecuador (and enjoying the best soups ever)! Now, I am so thankful to call Armington home. Please reach out if you would ever like to grab a meal in the DC or if I can make you a cup of coffee!
My passions in the work of residence life include intentional community-building, honest conversations around mental health, and helping students reflect on the story they have been given— with the aim of loving others more and trusting God more deeply. When I’m not in Armington, you can find me spending time outside, catching up with a friend, or checking out an unrealistic amount of books to read from the library!
