Student Life Handbook: Policies and Procedures Selling Products on Campus
- Only students who are fundraising for an official student organization may conduct in person solicitation in residence halls, offices, or other places on campus for the purpose of selling a product or service. Refer to the student fundraising policy for more details.
- To ensure the safety and privacy of all students, off campus individuals or groups are not permitted to promote or sell products or services directly to students, faculty, or staff. No campus space will be provided to sell a product or service for profit, but off campus individuals or groups may purchase advertising space in the student newspaper, The HORIZON.
- Students wishing to promote products or services for profit (either virtually or in person) to other students, faculty, or staff are not permitted to advertise, market or sell any product on campus without prior approval from the Student Life Office (stulife@westmont.edu). Students may not operate multi-level marketing/businesses, sell merchandise or solicit subscriptions/services anywhere on college property.
- Students promoting products or services for profit may purchase advertising space in the student newspaper, The HORIZON, without prior approval from the Student Life Office.
