Westmont Magazine Westmont Beautiful

A volunteer group dedicated to beautifying the Santa Barbara area has honored Westmont with a coveted award. Santa Barbara Beautiful named the college as the winner of its 2005 annual Historic Restoration Award. Previously, Las Barrancas, the Westmont faculty homes, won for firescape design.

Judges were impressed with restoration work that Westmont has done throughout the campus, both with the buildings and with the gardens.

Huell Howser of the “California’s Gold” television series hosted the Santa Barbara Beautiful awards at the Lobero Theatre.
