Bob Kuntz, who has served for more than 30 years in higher education, has been named registrar at Westmont, effective March 1.
Kuntz has worked for the past 18 months at Westmont as assistant to the director of information technology for software improvements. Before he came to Westmont, Kuntz was assistant chancellor for budget and planning at the University of California Santa Barbara, where he worked for 32 years.
The registrar is the primary record keeper at the college, overseeing registration of classes for students and keeping up-to-date, accurate and secure records. The registrar also serves as facilitator among the administration, faculty, staff, students, parents and other Westmont constituents.
“I am looking forward to working more closely with the outstanding faculty and students we have at Westmont. The registrar’s office is blessed with an excellent staff,” Kuntz said.
Two others have recently been named to management positions at Westmont.
Janna Mori has been named the new director of donor relations in the office of college advancement. She comes with a wealth of experience from her eight years with the college’s Career and Life Planning Office as the student and alumni employment and recruitment coordinator. In her new position, Mori will, among other things, ensure that donors are appropriately recognized for their contributions to the college.
Also, Rob Wagner has been named the new director of The President’s Associates, made up of donors who support the college with contributions of $1,000 or more per year. A 1998 Westmont graduate, Wagner worked most recently as the travel-publishing manager for Maps.com.
Westmont is a non-denominational Christian liberal arts college with 1,200 undergraduate students that values and cultivates high academic standards, community and individual spiritual growth.
