Christmas Festival CD on Sale in Bookstore

The Westmont Christmas Festival 2010 CD is now available for purchase at the Westmont Bookstore for $12. The CD “Let the Hearts of Those Who Seek the Lord Rejoice,” includes 90 minutes of Christmas music performed by the Westmont College Orchestra, Choir, Men’s Chorale and Women’s Chorale at the sixth annual festival Dec. 3-5.

Musical highlights include Mack Wilberg’s new arrangement for full orchestra and choir of “O Holy Night,” selections for harp and the Women’s Chorale from Benjamin Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols,” Westmont Orchestra playing George Bizet’s “Farandole” (March of the Three Kings), and the Westmont College Choir singing Morten Lauridsen’s “O Magnum Mysterium” (O Wondrous Mystery).

The recording was mixed and mastered by adjunct faculty member Dan Bos of Truetone Productions. The CD includes illustration and design by Scott Anderson, Westmont professor of art.
