The music department has formed a partnership with the Rockley Family Foundation, which will hold a private sale of musical instruments at Westmont March 14-16, featuring starter-to professional-level instruments at a discounted price. Go to the website rockleyfamilyfoundation.org/Westmont to make an appointment.
This non-profit foundation promotes music education buy raising money for music scholarships and by donating musical instruments to those with needs and to music teachers. The foundation will make a gift to Westmont to help purchase and maintain instruments.
A large selection of grand pianos, baby grands, digital player grands, vertical (upright) pianos, hybrid pianos, digital pianos, violins, violas and cellos will be available. Most instruments are less than one-year old, include a new factory warranty, are tuned and ready to go. Delivery and special no-interest financing is available on site. Moreover, in most cases, a substantial portion of your purchase is considered as a charitable contribution to the Rockley Family Foundation and may be tax deductible.
"In a time where creative solutions are needed to maintain a properly equipped music program, the continuation of this initiative is important to us in our efforts to further education in the arts," says Ruth Lin, chair of the Westmont music department. "We invite you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity."
