Exhibition Invites Sole-ful Submissions

Rohlander Family Portrait.jpgWestmont’s Reynolds Gallery presents “Views and Visions: The Shoe,” a juried exhibition open to all tri-county artists, Thursday, May 15 through Thursday, June 19. The in-gathering of submissions will be at the gallery Saturday, May 10, 9 a.m. to noon, with an opening reception and awards presentation Thursday, May 15, 5 to 7 p.m. Cash awards will be given in a variety of categories.

Westmont alumnus Nathan Rohlander is the featured artist of the show. The juror is printmaker and City College professor Stephanie Dotson.

Submissions will be accepted in painting, drawing, collage, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, and photography, including digital. No giclee prints or videos will be accepted.

Artists are limited to three submissions each, with a fee of $20 per submission. Entries must be no larger than 27 inches in any dimension, including frame, and three-dimensional works must weigh no more than 40 pounds. The gallery will receive 30 percent of all sales from the exhibition.

This is Reynolds’ third annual “Views and Visions” exhibition highlighting the work of an alumnus.
