The trio includes Han Soo Kim (violin), Joanne Kim (clarinet) and Jeong-ah Ryu (piano). The Sonos Winds is comprised of Andrea Di Maggio (flute), Trey Farrell (oboe), Joanne Kim and Andy Radford (bassoon).
The concert features performances by other musicians, including Steve Hodson (piano), Neil Di Maggio (piano), Thomas Joyce (organ), Robert Rockabrand (tenor) and Paula Hatley (piano).
“Westmont is blessed to have some incredibly talented music faculty and it’s exciting to see them perform in concert,” says Michael Shasberger, Adams professor of music and worship. “Many of our student musicians have only seen the faculty in their teaching roles, so it’s a real pleasure for them to watch their teachers perform for the community.”
The recital features Suite No. 6 by Bach, Oboe Concerto in D minor by Albinoni, Violin Sonata No. 7 by Beethoven, “Romanian Folk Dances” by Bartok for four winds, “Soldier’s Tale Suite” by Stravinsky, and three songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
