Fall Dance Concert: Random Radiance

Westmont Windancers’ fall dance concert, “Random Radiance,” takes abstract expressionism to a new dimension 8 p.m. Dec. 5 and 6 and 2 p.m. Dec. 6 in Porter Theatre.

Weaving together the visual and performing arts in an innovative and intriguing manner, the dances draw inspiration from paintings by Chagall, Kandinsky, Pollock and an original painting by student Ryan Lonac, interpreting and bringing them to life through movement.

Directed by dance professor Erlyne Whiteman, the production features choreography by instructor Vicki Finlayson, faculty dancers and student dancers Becky Cousin, Anna Gibbs, Megan Griffith, Katherine Howard, Maggie Iba, Ji Hae Lee, Angie Mayfield, Heather Meurer, and Kate Paulson.

The concert also features original electronic music composed by music professor Steve Butler and student Chris Humphreys.
