The Westmont Orchestra Concerto Concert, featuring guest conductor Andy Radford, is Thursday, April 27, at 7 p.m. in Westmont’s Page Hall and Friday, April 28, at 7 p.m. in First Presbyterian Church. Tickets, which cost $10 for general admission (students are free), may be purchased at the door. The orchestra will perform music by Johannes Brahms, Bach, Georges Bizet, Camille Saint-Saens, Claude Debussy, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and contemporary composer Karen Tanaka.

Soloists include oboist Chyna Charbonneau, violinist Lalia Mangione, violist Erik Fauss, soprano Elena White, violinist Andrea Larez and harpist Mia Dortch.

Radford, music director of the Santa Barbara Youth Symphony since 2004, is principal bassoonist of the Santa Barbara Symphony and the California Philharmonic. He has performed with virtually every orchestra in Southern California, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Pasadena Symphony, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, LA Music Center Opera, Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra, New West Symphony, Pacific Symphony, American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Ojai Music Festival, Opera Santa Barbara, Festival Mozaic and the Grammy Orchestra. Radford has soloed with orchestras in Germany and America and has performed as soloist with the Santa Barbara Symphony in 2004, 2005, 2009 and 2013. He has played in more than 300 film scores as an active member of the motion picture recording studios since 1984.
