Prayers and Sympathy for Seattle Pacific University

President Gayle Beebe shares the thoughts and prayers of the Westmont community regarding the June 5 shooting at Seattle Pacific University. “The shocking news of another shooting, this one at a fellow Christian College Consortium member, has distressed and saddened us. As this comes so soon after the tragic deaths in Isla Vista, we can hardly bear it. Pam and I extend our sympathy, prayers and support to President Martin and the entire Seattle Pacific community. We especially think of the victims and their families and send our condolences and prayers. For all of us who serve at Christian colleges and universities around the country, this tragedy brings home the urgency of our work to prepare the next generation of leaders to be agents of grace and love."
