A cast of 12 Westmont students will perform off-Broadway’s longest-running musical, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” Friday and Saturday, Jan. 28-29, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. all in Porter Theatre. Tickets which are $10 for general admission; $5 for Westmont students, can be purchased at the door.

The show, licensed by the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, is a fundraiser for the Westmont College Choir tour to England and Scotland.

Junior Kylie Castro and Sophomore Sam Martin are directing the play.

“It’s presented in a series of vignettes, connected by the central theme of love and relationships, Martin says. “While each scene is a stand-alone story, the progress and shape of the play suggests an overall ark to relationships throughout one’s life.”

“The real life scenarios range from cute dating situations to awkward first encounters to tender moments of true love to raw familial dysfunction, all the while staying relatable to the audience,” Castro says.

The cast includes senior Erik Rodkey; juniors Peter Robinson, Akela Almada and Jacob Biever; sophomores Sarah Phillips and Jackie Dressler; and freshmen Paige Tautz, Tianellie Galindo, Mak Manson, Ben Offringa, Ryan Talen, and Megan Monroe.
