James, a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, earned a master’s and doctorate from UC Santa Barbara. His doctoral research won the 2012 Frank K. Padden Jr. Award for polymer physics, the premier polymer physics prize in the United States.
The Sustainability Speaker Series continues with Jay Ruskey of Good Land Organics speaking about “Organic Growing Practices and California Coffee” on Feb. 23 at 3:30 p.m. in Founders Room.
