"Coach Boucher is a big picture thinker who is not here just to win games but also to build on the tradition set before him. He brings a strong faith commitment and a real understanding of the college's academic mission and our aspirations as an athletic program.”
– Dave Odell, Westmont College, Executive Director of Athletics
After three consecutive winning seasons, Coach Boucher led the program to its first competitive year as a member of the NCAA Division II Pacific West Conference (PacWest), knocking off three regionally ranked teams and producing the league's leading offense. Prior to taking over for legendary Westmont head coach, John Moore, Boucher led the San Marcos High School Royals to their first CIF-Southern Section basketball title in its 65-year history. Five players from that team went on to play college basketball.
A graduate of Westmont in 2012, Boucher played two seasons for Moore’s Warriors, and two seasons at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon.
“Our goal in continuing to host the summer high school tournaments is to provide a quality event for competitive programs to build their players into a team,” said Boucher. “We love seeing that team growth that happens from Friday afternoon to Sunday. Our tournament schedule affords coaches the time to be with their team away from the gym, and allows teammates to hang out off the court, in a beautiful setting, doing fun activities like playing basketball, going to the beach, or just sitting around getting to know each another better.”
