Summer Housing Overview 

There are two types of summer housing, and each type is restricted for specific purposes. 

1. Housing on campus during the Mayterm period only (May to early June) 
2. Housing at the off-campus Ocean View Apartments for the Summer period (May to mid-August) 

On-campus during Mayterm 

Campus housing during the Mayterm period is only made available to students who are:

1. Enrolling in regular Mayterm on campus
2. Enrolling in a summer travel course with the Off-Campus Programs Offic (and need housing for the few days on campus) 
3. Participating in extended intercollegiate athletics, and whose names have been substantiated by their respective coach.

NOTE: Students who reside off-campus and commute to campus for Mayterm do NOT need to make any official arrangement with Housing to commute during the Mayterm period from their own off-campus residence.

Summer at Ocean View 

Housing space at Ocean View, after the end of spring semester and until mid-August, is available to any current student or student summer employee. Requests for summer housing are not reviewed until April 1 in order to allow faculty and staff to hire students for the summer, Priority is given to student summer employees until April 1. Due to high demand for summer housing at OV in 2019, some requests could not be granted. The Conference Center then offered on-campus housing for the summer period for students who could not get into Ocean View. See Summer at Ocean View for more information.
