Clubs The Inklings

Mission Statement:

In the Inklings society we strive to engage, enrich and enhance the Westmont community by studying C. S. Lewis's books. My ultimate goal is to promote a place where students can further their college education by studying theological literature with other fellow Westmont students where they can continue to grow in their faith and understanding of Jesus and His teachings. I hope to encourage all students who are excited about deepening their faith in God to join this club and to further implement the love and teachings of Christ.

Vision Statement:

Our hope for the Inklings Society is to become a place to talk about our growing relationship with God, as well as our continued spiritual growth as we study C. S. Lewis and his work. Our goal is promote a place where students can feel safe to talk about their faith (or even lack of faith) and their academic growth as they read and discuss C. S. Lewis novels. This club hopes to bring in students from a variety of different denominational backgrounds and academic disciplines where we can all learn from each other as we embark on our study of C. S. Lewis. C. S. Lewis did not just write for the Christian audiences he wrote for everyone. Our ultimate goal is for students to cherish the love of reading and discuss literature with other fellow students from a variety of academic disciplines.
