New Testament and Greek
Dr. Beers graduated from North Central University in Minneapolis, earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies at Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, and completed her doctorate at the London School of Theology in England. She specializes in Luke-Acts, the use of the Old Testament in the New Testament, philosophical hermeneutics, and second temple Judaism. Her publications include a monograph, “The Followers of Jesus as the Servant: Luke’s Model from Isaiah for the Disciples in Luke-Acts.” She also writes Greek devotionals for pastors and explores the intersection of the daily lives of women in the Roman Empire during the first century and the ecclesiology of the New Testament church.
