Jason Eldred, Ph.D.

Dr. Jason Eldred graduated from the College of William and Mary, earned a master's at the University of St. Andrews, and completed his doctorate at the University of Virginia. His research focused on early modern England and the comparative origins of the English and Spanish empires. He specialized in early modern European history, early print culture and the book trade, with interests in the Atlantic world and colonial Latin America.  Dr. Eldred was the recipient of the 2018 Outstanding Adjunct Teaching Award in the Humanities.
