Westmont Magazine The Art of Fundraising
How can a small college like Westmont afford to host exhibits by nationally known artists? The annual Reynolds Gallery membership campaign raises funds for just this purpose. Last school year, 109 people joined the gallery, and 90 have already signed on since August 1995.
A steering committee of 43 energetic and committed volunteers oversees the membership drive, holds fundraising events, and hosts art receptions. After bringing in $18,072 last year, they are seeking $20,000 as their goal for The Westmont Fund.
Exhibits this fall include works by John Cushing and the annual juried angel art show. Next semester, Japanese prints by Saito and photographs by Lydia Heston will appear in the gallery.
