Westmont Magazine From the Chairman of the Board

Dear Friend of Westmont,

While the last fiscal year was notable for the conclusion of a very successful capital campaign, it was also another year of responsible fiscal management by the college. As the chair of the board of trustees, I am proud to present the 2001-2002 annual report.
The infusion of campaign funds for capital projects, endowment and operations has greatly strengthened Westmont’s financial base, and we are deeply thankful for all our donors. On behalf of the board, I wish to express my appreciation to each individual named in this report. These donors are helping us carry out our mission as a high-quality liberal arts college rooted in Jesus Christ.
While we are grateful for the many achievements of the past year and past decades, we have turned our attention to the future to meet new challenges. As we strengthen our financial situation by increasing endowment and raising funds for much-needed new facilities, we will make Westmont an even more excellent undergraduate institution. We continue to place high priority on educating well-rounded young men and women known for their competence, their character and their commitments.
