Westmont Magazine The Class of 2004
The 386 new students expected to enroll at Westmont this fall have impressive credentials. For the first time ever, a total of six National Merit Scholars have chosen to attend Westmont.
Average SAT scores and grade-point averages of the new class continue to be strong: 1190 and 3.61, respectively.
The first-year students come from 24 states. Although the majority are Californians, many are also from Colorado, Washington, and Oregon.
The ethnic diversity of the student body is showing some improvement, with 13.2 percent coming from underrepresented groups.
About 59 transfer students will also arrive. They have earned a grade-point average of 3.29 and scored 1190 on the SAT.
