Westmont Magazine Coming to a Location Near You: opportunities abound for alumni, parents, and friends

Do you wish you lived closer to Santa Barbara so you could attend some of the events held on campus? If so, you may be interested in learning about upcoming activities the Alumni & Parents Relations office has scheduled. Without venturing too far from home, you may be able to meet President Gayle D. Beebe or study with a popular Westmont professor.

President Beebe (left) continues his travels throughout the country. See the sidebar at right for more information about his schedule in May. Residents of Santa Barbara and Ventura will be able to meet him at several events planned for June. More information about these opportunities will appear on the Westmont Web site, www.westmont.edu/alumni.

If you enjoy the Bard, you can join English professor Paul Willis at the Ashland Shakespeare Festival in July for three days of theatre at its finest. The group will see three plays, “The Comedy of Errors,” “Othello,” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” and Professor Willis will lead discussions about the performances. Attendance is limited to the first 30 people who register at alumni@westmont.edu.

For more information about these intriguing programs, contact the Alumni & Parents Relations office at (805) 565-6056 or alumni@westmont.edu.
