Westmont Magazine Dreyfus Grant Supports Research

The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation has given Westmont a $30,000 matching grant to further enhance the capabilities of the college’s nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer. The equipment will help students creatively apply real-world, state-of-the-art NMR technology to their undergraduate research and later to lab problems they will face in graduate studies and industrial practice. Trustee David Cole, a retired UC Berkeley professor, worked with chemistry Professor Stan Anderson on the proposal.
