Westmont Magazine An Engineering Wonder

Theodore “Tad” Finkler, an engineering physics major from South Lake Tahoe, California, has received a 1996 National Engineers Week scholarship award. A committee of engineers in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties selected the winners.

Tad, who is a sophomore, graduated as the valedictorian of his high school class and won a National Merit scholarship. He plans to pursue the three-two dual degree program in engineering, which includes three years of study at Westmont and two years at an engineering school. He has also spent two spring breaks participating in the Potter’s Clay student ministry in Ensenada, Mexico.
