Amid a thundrous ovation, the class of 1947 marched in the 1997 Commencement procession in May. The “Golden Warriors” celebrating their 50th reunion during the weekend included: Harry Atkins, Richard Bohrer, Bernita True Cain, Stanley Cain, Dickalon Davison, Jaqulyn Richards Flory, Dr. Alberta Hanson, Elizabeth Colette Poore, Faith Wallace Stripe, Alice Sturz, Milton Thompson, Eleanor Kellogg Tuggy, Harriet Todd Turner, and Beverly Williams West.
