The class of 1959 (above) returned for their 50th reunion but never made it to campus because fire officials evacuated the college. They met instead at a local church to share memories and life stories. Proudly wearing their Golden Warrior medals, they marched in the Commencement procession on Saturday.

Two graduates in the class of 2009 come from three-generation Westmont families: Laura Diaz with her mother, Shirley Hall Diaz ’81, and grandfather Robert Hall ’49 (right center); and Brooke Hill with her mother, Tracy Vincent Hill ’81, and grandmother Dixie Crosby Vincent ’52 (right bottom). The unexpected campus evacuation, which moved Baccalaureate to Santa Barbara City College, prevented the annual alumni parent and graduating senior photo. But four two-generation families managed to gather at City College (top photo above, left to right): Paula De Jonge Moore ’76, Nate Moore ’09, Kimberly Burns Sinclair ’81, Kelsey Sinclair ’09, Byron ’82 and Lisa Repko ’84 Borden, Jesse Borden ’09, Morgan Coats ’09, and Guy ’79 and Ashley Norris ’83 Coats.
