Westmont Magazine A Lifetime of Teaching
Westmont marked the beginning of a lifetime of academia for Charles Holman ’57. After graduating with a B.A. in psychology, he earned a B.D. and a Th.M. from Fuller Seminary and a Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham. He has served on the faculties of Jamaica Theological Seminary and Trinity Christian Training Institute. In 1997, Regent University, where he has taught since 1982, honored him as Outstanding Teacher of the Year, and Regent University’s School of Divinity honored him as Professor of the Year. He is also an ordained minister with the Missionary Church.
Over the years, Charles has authored various essays, commentaries, and journal articles, including volumes on I and II Peter and Jude in “The Spirit-Filled Life Bible.” Hendrickson has published his book, “Till Jesus Comes: Origins of Christian Apocalyptic Expectation.” “Charisma” magazine printed an article he wrote about Bible translations,“Which Translation is Best for You,” in their November 1997 issue.
Charles lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with his wife, Rose, who works for CBN.
