Westmont Magazine Parents Help Close the Gap
Current parents have given $19,379 to the latest Parents Council project: providing resources for Voskuyl Library. This fund-raising effort directly benefits students by expanding reference materials available in the library. The need to provide both electronic and print materials has stretched the library’s budget in recent years, and support from parents will provide some much-needed help. A matching gift of $11,000 from past parents brings the total to $30,379.
Parents are willing to make gifts because they understand that tuition doesn’t cover the entire cost of education at Westmont. The college depends on gifts to bridge the gap.
