Biography/Details

Professor Gomez is a Santa Barbara native. He earned his B.S. in Kinesiology at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where he developed a passion for human health and fitness. He then received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Human Physiology at the University of Oregon. Joining the department in fall 2022, he is excited to begin a new line of research at Westmont focusing on Optimal Action Preparation, Motor Skill Acquisition, and Motor Development across the lifespan. You may cross paths with him in the fitness center, on the basketball court or on East Beach soaking up the sun.
