She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University School of Nursing in 2009 and had her first job as a staff nurse on a medical floor at Saint Louis University Hospital. In 2012, she decided to come home and was hired at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital as a staff nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. She continues to work in the ICU, has obtained her certification in Critical Care nursing (CCRN), is an American Heart Association trained Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor and now works as a charge nurse, preceptor for new hires and works as a skills instructor for the New Graduate Nurse Residency Program at Cottage Hospital, training all the new nurses hired after graduating from nursing school. She is very excited to work at Westmont Nursing, bringing her experience and training to the Skills and Simulation lab and is lucky to have a part in creating this new program.
