Westmont Magazine Seniors Rise to the Challenge
The class of 1999 fund-raising drive, the Senior Challenge, has set a new record this spring. To date, 46 percent of the graduates have pledged $4,011, which is the highest participation rate of any Westmont class. Because so many seniors have made gifts, they qualified for a 4-1 challenge match pledged by an anonymous parent. With the match, they will give a total of $20,057 to the College.
Thanks to the generosity of alumni, parents, and friends, The Westmont Fund will likely meet its $1.35 million goal by June 30, the end of the fiscal year. In mid-April, gifts already totaled 86 percent of that amount.
