Westmont Magazine Tennis Comes Out Swinging
No. 14 Westmont women’s tennis (12-4, 9-0 GSAC) took down No. 16 San Diego Christian for the second time this season to remain undefeated and in sole possession of first place in the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) at the end of March. The team will likely win the GSAC.
No. 25 Westmont men’s tennis (4-7, 3-4 GSAC) defeated the Hawks of San Diego Christian. The victory put the Warriors in fourth place in a strong GSAC with three conference matches remaining.
Joseph Hemry, a freshman from Anchorage, Alaska, has made an immediate impact on the men’s team, winning a majority of his matches in the No.3 singles position.
Junior Cade Pierson, senior Isabel Lee and sophomore Taylor Cheung-Damonte have dominated the top three singles positions for the women’s team.
