Westmont Magazine Wallace Emerson Society

Ted Ross fled to Toronto in 1942 as a wartime refugee from Poland. There he met and married his wife, Kathie. Eventually he relocated to Boston as an engineer with an American firm. A final work-related move brought the Rosses to Santa Barbara in 1961 where they settled and became American citizens. Ted then founded Anarad, Inc., a firm that manufactures electronic instrumentation. Seeing God’s hand in the development and growth of this company, Ted and Kathie wanted to reinvest their resources in an institution doing His work. For years they heard much praise for Westmont, and meeting faculty and staff confirmed their good impressions. So the Rosses made a gift to Westmont by funding a charitable trust with shares of company stock, while receiving a lifetime income and tax benefits themselves.
