Westmont Magazine A Wave of Response

Westmont students have joined the world-wide effort to assist victims of the vicious tsunami that devastated Indian Ocean nations in December. In addition to gathering to pray for victims, student leaders organized a benefit concert featuring student bands that raised nearly $850. They are also selling tsunami relief bracelets, which feature the word “hope” in eight different languages. All the proceeds from the sale benefit Direct Relief International, a Santa Barbara-based relief agency.
