More than 200 Westmont students will spend spring break (March 11-18) in Mississippi, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Barbara and Ensenada, Mexico, volunteering for various service projects.

Westmont Theater performs three of Anton Chekhov’s wildest farces collectively known as “33 Swoons” Feb. 25, 26 and March 4-5 at 8 p.m.; and March 5 at 2 p.m. in Porter Theatre (map).

Forbes has selected Westmont as the second-best college for minorities to earn a degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (known colloquially as STEM).

Jessie van Eerden, a faculty member at the Oregon Extension of Eastern University, reads her prose fiction on Thursday, Jan. 20, in Adams Center 216 at 7 p.m. The reading is free and open to the public.

Allen Hopkins, sportscaster for ESPN and FOX Sports, joins the Westmont Board of Trustees, which oversees the operations of the college. Hopkins, a 1995 Westmont graduate, has been a member of Westmont’s Board of Advisors since 2007.
